Description

16th/17th cent.: 3-storey L-plan with entrance and corbelled
staircase in re-entrant angle, semi-circular end to S. wing:
2-storey 2-window wing added at slightly later date on W.:
harled and crowstepped, fragment of courtyard arch. Later
single-storey and attic office wing, walled garden part old
and part modern with wrought-iron gates brought hither from
Inverardoch walled garden (D. Bryce 1859).

Statement of Interest

Gatepiers on main road nearby formerly led to Inverardoch

House which replaced Newton as the mansion of the estate.
