Description

Dated W.C. 1819. Semi-circular arched pend with 3-window lodge flat over, circular angle towers corbelled out near top with conical roofs, corbelled and crenellated parapet. Crenellated screen walls run out at right angles to spired circular piers. Pinned rubble, red sandstone dressings.

Finely composed; right-angled arrangement is due to its having originally stood at a bend in the road.
