Description

Early 19th century. Roughly oval walled garden, orientated N-S, in poor condition (1989). Ashlar coped random rubble, brick-lined. Dovecot set into wall to S (listed separately). 2-storey, lean-to hothouse and potting shed to N; 5-bay at ground with 2 doors, doorway at 1st floor to E gable, (forestair missing?) 4 small flue ventilators to walled garden, ashlar stacks and ventilators to wallhead. No surviving woodwork.

Statement of Interest

In poor condition, 1993. Part of the designed landscape of Haddo House to W; (Forgue Parish, Gordon District) possibly by Archibald Simpson. The Dovecot, Keithny Burn Bridge and Gate lodges are listed separately.
