Description

Earlier/mid 19th century. Single storey broad-eaved gate
lodge with gatepiers, quadrants and railings.
LODGE: 2-bay E elevation to driveway, the left bay gabled,
with canted window; timber-columned porch projects diagonally
from re-entrant angle. Single gable both on N and on S
elevations. Built of cherry-caulked neatly-coursed whinstone
with contrasting ashlar dressings; margins and concrete
pointing all painted. Corniced stack; slate roof.
GATEPIERS ETC: ashlar-built plain piers and quadrants, latter
with decorative cast-iron railings.
