Description

W West Neve, architect, circa 1901. Single storey and attic
lodge, outbuildings and stables, in parallel arrangement
forming courtyard. Arts and Crafts style. All rubble-built,
with red ashlar dressings Lodge has door and long mullioned
window in projection on east gable, attic light in
timber-framed gable head, swept roof at north, doorway to
courtyard with bracketed canopy breaks eaves; 2 bipartites to
south elevation, small, leaded panes. Lower and narrower
outbuildings extend to west with openings to courtyard. 2
stacks; slate roofs (perhaps originally red tiles) with
projecting eaves. Former stables and cartshed each has
gambrel roof (red tiles) and large rectangular opening to
courtyard: additional door and window openings to stables.
Wooden gatepiers and decorative wooden gates.
