Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay farmhouse with attic,
courtyard steading adjoining. All rubble-built; mostly
whitewashed, house with painted contrasting margins.
ouse: south elevation: central door beneath gabled rustic
porch; sash windows (8 or 12-pane glazing); cornice; 2
piended, canted dormers; straight skews; end stacks; roofed
with graded slates. Steading: 2 rectangular blocks arranged
in L-plan, forming courtyard, are linked to rear wing of
house barn at north has 2 partially-blocked segmental-arched
cartways, small loft openings above; courtyard entered from
south, beside plain rectangular range which extends from west
gable of house. Roofs mostly slated.
