Description

Early 19th century single storey with 2-stage circular tower Gothic folly forming part of Taymouth Castle Estate. Rustic masonry with projecting stones. Pointed openings. Now roofless and ruinous (2006).

Statement of Interest

Rock Lodge forms part of an exceptionally spectacular and complete group of ancillary structures on the Taymouth Castle Estate. Haynes notes that the building was originally habitable but built to look ruinous.
