faced ashlar plinth, mock hall timber and harling, red
tiled roofs. Italianate clock tower.
Concourse: 2/3 of a circle with circular booking office.
From it fan out a curved ramp down to steamboat pier
and curved railway platforms. All with glazed steel-trussed
roofs.
Greenock to Wemyss Bay railway was opened 1865. It was
absorbed by Caledonian Railway 1893
