Description

P W Meik (Thomas Meik and Sons), chief engineer, Alfred H Roberts, resident engineer, Sir W Murray Morrison, manager and technical advisor, Sir John Jackson Ltd, principal contractor. 1904-9.

Reinforced concrete single arched bridge 75' long,40" wide and 18" deep. Keystones to arch. Coped concrete parapet.

Statement of Interest

An early reinforced concrete bridge.System used not known but apparently not Hennebique as the first of that system in the area was one for the Kinlochleven Village Improvement Society in 1919,since replaced.
