Earlier 18th century. Rectangular-plan, lectern-type dovecot converted to cottage late 19th century, built on falling ground. Rubble construction, ashlar dressings, boulders at base course at SW angle, concrete cills and lintels, grey slate roof. Rat-course, stepped at end elevations. Bipartite 6-pane sash and case windows to front; crowstepped end walls with skewputts, 3 crowstepped ball-finialled pediments to N wall with 4 intersecting short stacks and cans.
S ELEVATION: (low end of lectern). Multi-pane glazed door with fanlight to centre, windows to left and right; left return elevation blank; modern conservatory to right return elevation.
N ELEVATION: door and window to right; pentice-roofed addition to left, door with gabled dormerhead, window to right return; modern harled gable end to conservatory at far left crowstepped in imitation of originals.
INTERIOR: not seen.
The crowstepped gables on the north wall are similar to those at Pitfour, Newbigging and Watterybutts. Formerly a Rossie estate building.
