Late 18th century; later additions and alterations. Single storey row of 2 cottages (formerly probably 4). Rubble construction, slate roof, brick ridge and end stacks. Boulder base course at E gable. Fixed pane and casement plate glass windows to Trottick Cottage, tripartite multi-pane casements to Hayhoe Cottage. Bracketted eaves to S elevation.
S ELEVATION: Trottick Cottage to left, door to centre, 3 windows to left and right, later piend-roofed bay with window slightly recessed to left. Hayhoe Cottage to right, 2 windows to centre flanked by door and window. Right return gable blank.
N ELEVATION: some original windows at Hayhoe cottage to left; window at Trottick Cottage to right, circa late 19th century piend-roofed timber bay advanced at far right.
INTERIOR: not seen.
These cottages are listed for their apparent 18th century origin and for their relationship to Trottick House, despite unsympathetic alterations.
