My great-grandmother, Margaret Mary Anne Jane Thomson Keiller Hardie (sitting on the fence) and her Keiller sisters were very close to their second cousins who owned Lochton Farm (as it was known then). They were frequent guests of Hannah Napier Keiller, widow of Mathewson Keiller a wealthy merchant from Perth. This photo was taken circa 1885 when Arabella Barbara Keiller Lindsay (left standing) had just married Captain Henry Kay Lindsay and become the mother of his children, (l-r) Henry Kay, Jr., Elsie, and Charles Roderick Lindsay.
The children of Mathewson Keiller (1801-1876) and Hannah Napier Keiller (1829-1900) were Margaret Eliza Keiller Walker and William E. Keiller, M.D. William moved to Galveston, Texas in 1895. Margaret's descendants (family name, King) live in England. Mathewson Keiller also owned the gracious Boatlands House, still standing on the banks of the River Tay in Perth.
