Circa 1900. Rectangular-plan boathouse. Rubble. Red sandstone ashlar lintels. Decorative timber bargeboarding to gables. Terracotta tiles. Overhanging eaves.
S ELEVATION: doorway at centre; blind slit above, with ashlar cill. Full-length openings to left and right, each with timber latticed grilles.
N (LOCHNAW LOCH) ELEVATION: open; timber panelling in gablehead forms basket arch.
E AND W ELEVATIONS: blank.
The Boathouse is situated on the south side of Lochnaw Loch. There is a boathouse marked on the OS Map of 1847, but it is located on a different site and is therefore not this Boathouse. The Boathouse is not marked on the OS Map of 1893, but is marked on the OS Map of 1907.
