A photo of 19 Johnshill Lochwinnoch.
I lived here from birth in 1949 until 1956.
We moved to 3 Crookhill gardens.. a brand new council house with indoor toilet and bathroom.

At that time there were four flats.. I lived in the bottom right ground floor.
I remember well playing on the steps, and in the large garden.

Upper floor was occupied by a family called Greenlees, as was the left ground floor flat.

We had two rooms: a large kitchen cum living room and one bedroom I shared with mum and dad and my younger sister.

Bathing was done in a big tin bath in front of a coal fire.

The toilet was in the close and shared with the other three flats. No electric light.
