Description

James Gillespie (Graham), 1806/10. Coursed rubble, tooled dressings. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays with centre door and attic, 3 bays with centre door and later square projecting porch; low single storey and attic range to rear forming courtyard, linked to main house by 2 storey quadrant.

Front elevation; wide angle pilasters; moulded cornice; blocking course raised at centre; 12-pane glazing; 2 later canted dormers; corniced end stacks (1 later 19th century); slate roof.

Interior: fanlight over inner entrance door; simple circular stairwell with cast-iron baluster with palmette detailing.

Statement of Interest

House occupied by Lord Macdonald's chamberlain in earlier 19th century.
