Originally mid/late 18th century, recast mid/later 19th
century. Large T-plan house; harled, tooled ashlar dressings.
2 storeys and attic over raised basement, original 3-bay
house masked by large later projecting 3-bay wing of similar
height. Later square projecting porch with shaped parapet
in re-entrant approached by flight of steps with stone
balustrade and terminal pier with ball finial. Canted bay to
south gable, tripartite above, shaped gable and side gablet
stacks; canted oriel in east gable. Central rear projecting semi-circular stairwell with mid/later 19th century corbelled
caphouse addition with similar gable detailing as front.
Some 12-pane glazing survives; extensive single storey
additions to rear; gableted dormers; broad end stacks; slate
roof.
Stables: single storey and attic, 3 bay stable and carriage
house range, with later single bay wing to west forming
L-plan court; harl pointed rubble, ashlar dressings.
Central front gablet with finial and weathervane above
long hay loft door. 2 depressed arched carriage houses left,
and stables right. 2 piended dormers rise through eaves; end
and ridge corniced stacks; slate roofs.
