Earlier to mid 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan cottage. Whinstone and sandstone rubble with pink sandstone margins and dressings, stone mullions, chamfered arrises. Decorative fretted bargeboards.
S (MAIN) ELEVATION: modern wooden tongue and groove porch, windows on returns; flanking bipartites, catslide dormerheads breaking eaves above. Modern addition at rear.
6-pane timber casement windows; graded grey slate roof, lead flashings, corniced sandstone apex stacks.
BOUNDARY WALL: whinstone boundary wall with boulder coping.
The house is very similar to the neighbouring Holly Cottage which is listed separately.
