Early 18th century. 2-storey, 5-bay house, subdivided, and in
terraced pair. Harl pointed red rubble sandstone with some
ashlar dressings retained; cement rendered and lined to N
(street) front.
N ELEVATION: symmetrical. Door at centre, probably heightened,
with strip fanlight; low windows in flanking bays and to each
bay under eaves at 1st floor.
Largely blank E gable wall by The Wynd, with 2 attic windows
at apex, 1 blocked. 2-pane and plate glass glazing pattern
to upper and lower sashes respectively. Pantiles to steeply
pitched roof with deep slate easing course. Gable end stacks. Distinctive East Lothian skew formation.
Adjoined to contemporary Curlew Cottage at W, listed
separately. Kirkview entered from rear. Piend roofed
outbuilding at rear.
