Probably William Adam, circa 1744. Classical bridge
carrying main drive to Yester House across Gifford Water.
Single span; semi-circular arch with string course and
voussoirs. Corbelled parapet with rounded coping,
curving at ends into dies mounted with obelisk finials.
Classical details echo those used by William Adam in his
design for Aberfeldy Bridge. For further information on the
Yester gardens, see An Inventory of Gardens and Designed
Landscapes in Scotland (1988).
