Description

Architect possibly William Aitkinson, circa 1820. Symmetrical
single storey, 3-bay, T-plan lodge. Stugged pink ashlar,
polished dressings. Pilastered doorpiece with cornice at main
eaves level, panelled 2-leaf door with decorative fanlight.
Sash windows, 12-pane glazing; continuous eaves course;
single tall apex stack with block cornice; piended roof, with
graded slates. Single bay flanks; pedimented rear (north)
wing and later additions including porch. Square gatepiers
with bellcast caps, curved low quadrant walls, coped, with
terminal piers - all pink ashlar; cast-iron gates with
latticed pattern and spiked rails.
