Hamilton House is an excellent example of a 17th century Laird's House. It was rescued from demolition by the NTS in 1937 and restored as a private residence. When the last tenant died the Trust wished to sell it, hopefully it can be bought for the benefit of the community. It was open to the public 24/03/2012 for the first time as a move in finding a new use.
