Description

Archibald Ritchie, sculptor, 1853, signed and dated. Grey ashlar monument comprised of base, pedestal and obelisk, sited to N of Bankton House. Rock-worked base course to base; sleepy lion couchant to each of 4 angle buttresses (2 alternating poses). Corniced, channelled pedestal with moulded and inscribed panels to each face.
