GARDEN PAVILIONS AND BOUNDARY WALLS: circular-plan, garden pavilions at either end of sea boundary wall enclosing Inverallt and Inverallt Cottage. Rubble with harl pointing, timber eaves, conical slate roof with lead finial. Timber door and windows; 2-leaf, half-glazed, round-headed door facing into garden; round-headed, timber casement windows facing sea. Pavilion to NW full-height free-standing to sea, walls abut onto sides at garden elevation. Pavilion to SE corbelled on
seaward elevation, more projecting into garden. Boundary wall, rubble with alternating flat and semicircular coping.
GATEPIERS: substantial gatepiers of rubble with harl pointing, plain pyramidal caps.
Inverallt and the garden pavilions are shown on the 1st edition map but then site named Shandon Bank. Robert Napier, the marine engineer had a summer cottage at Shandon from 1833 prior to building West Shandon (now demolished). It is possible that this may have been Napier's cottage. Inverallt Cottage to the SE of Inverallt and within the same boundary is listed separately.
