Description

Late 15th century early 16th century towerhouse now in ruins. Rectangular plan with N and W walls complete to corbelled machicolation line at eaves. The S and E walls do not survive at all. Rubble-built with chamfered angles worked in small rubble stones. Some chamfered openings survive. Bull-nosed corbels formerly to support wall walk. Finely carved chimneypiece jambs survive to 1st floor hall level, similar in style and decoration to that at Cardonness, Gatehouse-of-Fleet Burgh, Stewartry.
