Later 19th century. 2-storey, with 1st floor breaking eaves, irregular 6-bay pair of houses, originally 3, in terrace; No 52, Glenleven, in
3 bays to right. Rendered. Long and short quoins. Architraved margins. Dentilled eaves course. Base course.
N (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: corniced double doorpiece in penultimate bay to right; Corinthian pilasters flanking 2 doors; stepped moulding above, terminated by finialled dies, raised at centre over shield motif. Segmental-arched pend in bay to left of centre. Door in penultimate bay to left. Window in remaining 3 bays at ground floor. Bipartite window in outer bay to left at 1st floor; windows in outer bay to right and in bay to right of centre, both formerly bipartite; each with gabled dormerheads, containing moulded roundel motif. Small window above pend in bay to left of centre. Long and short quoins between centre bays. Linked to Nos 56 - 60 Main Street (see separate listing) by continuation of elevation beyond quoins.
E ELEVATION: gabled.
W ELEVATION: harled above adjoining building, No 50 Main Street.
Modern glazing. Coped skews, red sandstone to NE, concrete to NW. Gablehead stacks, tall and rendered to E, broad and harled to W. Small purple slates; slate-hung dormerheads. Cast-iron rainwater goods; moulded eaves guttering.
