Description

W and J Smith and Kelly (probably William Kelly) 1898.
Granite with gable front to street. Dee Street elevation:
banded granite at ground, 3-bay frontage with central door
with pilasters dividing it from side lights, bipartites in
outer bays. 2 tall storeys above, outer giant pilasters
supporting cornice, 1/2 pilasters attached and full pilasters
flanking central bay supporting frieze. Tripartite windows
to centre, bipartite to outer bays. Large central lunette
with bold over-arch and radial glazing, oculi flanking.
Curved angles with scrolls support end of skews. 11-bay side
elevation to Dee Place, 9 segment-headed ground floor
openings, bipartites in all other bays. Slate roof.
