Statement of Interest

Little is known about George Coutts of Aberdeen. Coutts was responsible for the design of Fountainhall Road, including 67 and 44 and 46 Fountainhall Road (see separate listings), which are more unusual in design then the other buildings. They were designed for the Saint Swithin Street Building Association. Particularly noteworthy is the unusual use of terracotta panels and tiles, similar to 13 and 15 King's Gate (see separate listing), also by Coutts.
