Description

Circa 1868. Mid-Victorian freestyle mansion, tall 2-storey
and attic, snecked rubble with stugged ashlar dressings.
W entrance front has central gabled entrance bay with arched
Doric pilastered doorpiece and attic window with head
keyblock breaking forward from 1-window left hand bay
with gabled dormer and right hand 2-window gable of S
range: S range is 2-window with dormerhead gablets and
right hand gable front of E range, shallow rectangular
ground floor bay with foliated cherub's head capitals on
left, at centre modern tripartite of similar proportion and
at right single-storey canted bay also with sculptured
capitals and with brattished platformed roof; single
light 1st floor windows with stop chamfers, arched attic
light at right hand gable. 3-window E elevation.
Single-storey offices of 2 bays with dormerheads, piended
roof. Straight coped skews, some stepped at half their
height, skewputts and finials, slated roofs.
