Description

Dated 1868. Large neo-Jacobean near symmetrical detached
mansionhouse. 2-storey attic and baseement ashlar-built. NE
frontage 3-window between slightly advanced tripartite end
bays with crowstepped dormer heads, off-centre rope-moulded
doorpiece approached by steps. SW front has 2 bipartites
between 5-light canted bays with 3-light dormers similar to
those on N over. Broad 2-window gables. Elaborate detail,
raised quoins, hood moulds, label-stops, corbelled and
crenellated corner turrets and band of crenellation at attic
floor level, rope-moulded eaves course, crowstepped gables,
thistle and rose finials, chimneys of triple diagonal shafts
flanked by gabled skylights centre of both main fronts.
Slated roof, platformed between broad gable chimneys.
