Description

Circa 1860. 2-storey L-plan house with symmetrical 3-bay front. Snecked rubble with ashlar dressings, wide angle strips and base course.

Pilastered and corniced doorpiece with blocking course. Corniced bipartites to ground floor and 1st floor 8-pane sashes, both with bracketted cill-courses. Eaves cornice with blocking course above raised at corners and centre. North elevation 3-bay with 8-pane sashes similarly detailed. South with bay towards rear brought forward and

1 sash each floor similarly detailed. Rear elevation of rubble with ashlar dressings. Wall encloses re-entrant angle. Piended slate roofs with corniced wallhead stacks: lower part ashlar, upper part modern brick.

Built as Free Church Manse but not on 1st edition OS Map (1858).
