Description

Mid 19th century. 3-storey, 5-bay tenement. Squared and coursed stugged rubble; ramining elevations pebble-dashed. Raised cills, concrete at ground.

S (CROFT STREET) ELEVATION: door with 3-pane strip fanlight at centre. Regular fenestration in remaining bays.

N ELEVATION: regularly disposed fenestration.

W ELEVATION: blank.

E ELEVATION: pebble-dashed above adjoining block of Nos 27-35 Croft Street (see separate listings).

Largely 12-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows, plate glass at ground on S elevation. Modern broad flat-roofed dromer window behind pebble-dashed former wallhead stack at centre of N pitch. Coped skews. Rendered and lined gablehead stacks, stack to E shouldered. Grey slates.

Statement of Interest

B Group with Nos 17 and 19, 21 and 23, and 27-35 Croft Street. This tenement was built after 1853. It is listed as a largely unspoilt example of a traditional building type.
