Description

Dated 1892. Painted cast-iron. Small cherub holding water
jar, in centre shallow circular dish borne on pedestal under
canopy carried by four columns with medallions over arches
and centre decorative column bearing gas lamp. The whole
stands on square plinth of 3 shallow stone steps.

Inscribed "Presented by Miss Georgina Anderson 1892"

Resembles fountains displayed in MacFarlane's of Glasgow

late 19th century catalogue.
