18th century. 2-storey row of 2 cottages. Red sandstone
rubble, painted, rendered on E gable and partly incised as
ashlar on rear.
Random arrangement of openings; some upper windows altered
and given ashlar dressings. Small-pane glazing to ground
floor windows, some with iron bars; plate glass sashes above.
E GABLE: 2 1st floor and 1 small gable head windows. N rear
elevation (through close no. 45) with fewer openings, some
blind. Pantiled roof; mutual stack at centre and gable head
stack.
