Description

Probably John MacLeod, architect. Built circa 1870-80.
2-storey, 3-bay villa, with low wing extending north and
conservatory adjoining west wall. Coursed, stugged ashlar,
with polished dressings. South elevation: central
round-headed door with fanlight n simple door piece; single
1st floor window above. 2-storey, semi-circular 5-light
window in slightly taller left bay; bipartites in right bay,
projecting at ground floor. Decorative band course over
ground floor. Windows all in chamfered reveals. End stacks,
piended slate roof with projecting eaves and cast-iron
cresting.
Conservatory has pedimented 2-leaf door on south elevation,
and semi-octagonal west end; roof raised at apex with
ventilator windows, and cast-iron cresting above.
3 square, polished ashlar gatepiers, each on battered plinth,
engaged columns at angles, and shaped above; decorative
cast-iron gates.
