Description

James MacLaren, dated 1851; 2-storey neo-Jacobean ashlar fronted terrace; originally near-symmetrical 7-bay front.

Centre house slightly advanced, elaborate lugged doorpiece with strap-work top, single-light window over. 4-light canted bay to left, 3-light rectangular bay to right, both raised to 2-storey later. 2-bay end houses nave slightly advanced end bays with curvilinear gables. Finials missing. Ground floor corniced architraved and aproned bipartites 2nd and 5th bays bipartite, replaced by 2-storey canted bay with pedimental blocking course at No 6. Picturesque scroll pedimented dormer at No 10. Side porches set back at ends.

Slate roofs. 2 corniced ashlar ridge stacks. Sash and case windows, 2 and 4-pane glazing patterns.

Low boundary walls to front, high walls to rear 3 octagonal cast-iron gatepiers with ogee tops.
