Description

William Patrick 1934. 2-storey moderne shop/commercial building on sloping corner site with chamfered angle, ashlar fronts.

ELEVATION TO HILLTOWN: tall ground floor shopfront with black vitrolite surrounds and metal horizontal strips. 1st floor tripartite and long horizontal window wrapping around angle.

ELEVATION TO KINGHORNE ROAD: 2 recessed bays, corniced double door with twin stair window over. Shopfront (now social club) to right blocked: tripartite over.

Flat roof with projecting eaves. Twin wallhead stacks flank stair. Originial glazing patterns; large panes to shops, diamond panes over doors. Small metal-framed casement and top-hopper windows to 1st floor and to Kinghorne Road.
