Description

Circa 1885-90 Italianate Renaissance. 2-storey detached
villa, squared rubble with ashlar quoins. S front near-
symmetrical 3-bay, narrow centre bay within channelled
pilasters, small segmental pediment with sculptured tympanum
eaves, ground floor tripartite and arched keyblocked 1st
floor windows. Broad flanking bays, canted ground floor
window to left, projecting tripartite to right both with
pierced parapets, architraved tripartites over.
3-bay E and W elevations; porch on E with square pillar,
cast-iron mullioned window and pierced parapet. Windows
in architraves. Conservatory at W demolished. Modillioned
cornice and blocking course.
Rear U-plan service wings, E 2-storey and later single-
storey with concrete block walls. W part demolished, cut-back
rendered gable. Modern steps and porch to 1st floor flat,
partly blocked stair windows.
Sash and case windows, 2-pane glazing pattern.
Piended platformed slate roof, wall-head and ridge stacks.
Central cupola. Dormer to W.
INTERIOR: divided into flats, internal stair removed. Some
good plasterwork in principal rooms.
FORMER STABLE AND COACHHOUSE: single storey with gabled
hay loft. Blocked entrance, sliding door, wrought iron
finials. Rubble built boundary walls with chamfered
gatepiers and scalloped caps.
