Description

Style of David Neave, circa 1822. Detached house with
classical details. 1-storey attic and basement, 3-bay
ashlar N elevation, rubble side and rear elevations.
Central pilastered and corniced doorpiece approached by
steps and platt oversailing basement, fanlight; 2
sash and case windows with architraves and cornice.
(Small inserted window). Cornice and blocking course.
Small modern window in E gable. Rear, raised basement
sash and case windows. 3 attic dormers, central 1 large,
gabled and rubble faced (with modern glazing) inserted
circa 1851 to allow factory manager to view Logie Works
Factory. 2 gable-end stacks, 1 heightened circa 1865.

Statement of Interest

Inhabited by the Factory Manager of Logie Works,

and then of Edward Street Mill.
