Description

1871. Symmetrical semi-detached 2-storey and basement 3-bay
houses. Ashlar with polished dressings and quoins.
S elevation: outer bay canted at ground floor, Tudor arched
lights and bracketted eaves. Inner bay 3-light shallow
projection with round-headed windows, keystones and cornice.
Unusual cast-iron open-worked balcony fronts and links both
bays (that at No 446 altered). 1st floor 3 architraved
segmental-headed windows. Bracketted eaves. Central wallhead
stack. 2 canted dormers to No 444.
Side elevation similar segmental-arched windows and consoled
and pedimented doorpieces approached by steps. Rear (to
Perth Road) plain, 2 windows to either side of round-headed
stair window. 1-storey service wing.
