Early 19th century. 3-stage, circular-plan tower dovecot. Random rubble, partially harled with squared and tooled courses to parapet, ashlar margins to openings. Blocked ashlar architrave to square-head entrance to NW, ventilation slit to SE. Square window with projecting lintel and cill to 2nd stage, SE. Corbelled out to coped parapet, 4 projecting waterspouts. Hidden roof with open cupola flight-holes and cap, supported on 4 stone columns terminating in lead ball finial cap.
Originally part of the Kippendavie estate of Kippendavie House built for the Stirlings of Kippendavie by William Stirling from 1820. The dovecot was moved to its present site in 1842 from its original position on Beech Road and is now enclosed within the grounds of a 19th century cottage both now part of the Ochlochy Park housing development off Glen Road.
