Description

18th century bakehouse with later additions. 2-storey,
2-bay house, pedimented gabled dormers breaking eaves
to 1st floor. Grey painted rendering, painted ashlar
margins.
Door to left has dominating pilastered doorpiece with
entablature, strip fanlight. Window to right, 2 smaller
gabled dormer windows at 1st floor.
Sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing pattern.
Red pantiles, straight ashlar skews, renewed brick gable
end stack to right.

Statement of Interest

Probably single storey as bakehouse and affiliated to 43

High Street; raised as dwelling and rendered in 19th century.

Bakehouse oven now housed in Georgian House, Charlotte Square

Edinburgh.

B group with 43 High Street.
