John Miller, engineer, 1849. Railway viaduct of 8 segmental arches crossing River Almond. Rock-faced coursed sandstone, voussoirs, plastic roll moulded string course, rendered parapet with slab coping and modern plain railings. Some brick infill in voussoirs. Stone steps to railway line at W side.
The viaduct was opened in 1849 by the Edinburgh and Bathgate Railway. The greater part of the viaduct is in the West Lothian District.
