Circa 1852. 2-storey, 3-bay, almost L-plan villa; subdivided. squared and snecked sandstone rubble; coursed polished ashlar to N, E and W elevations. Base course; raised window surrounds; droved margins; quoin strips panelled and coped skewblocks; tall gablehead and gully stacks.
S (DICK PLACE AND ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: open stone porch in re-entrant an gle at centre, formed with advanced gabled bay to left; keystoned depres sed-arched openings to S and E; cornice surmounted by decorative stone c arving; panelled door; plate glass fanlight. Single window at 1st floor above. Single windows in bay to outer right, that at 1st floor in corbe lled panel breaking eaves in pedimented dormerhead. Advanced and gabled bay to outer left; 2-storey canted window with bracketted dividing corn ice, surmounted by cornice and decorative stone cariving; slit window in gablehead.
E (LAUDER ROAD) ELEVATION: M-gabled. 2-storey canted window in bay to outer right with dividing and eaves cornices and blocking course.
W ELEVATION: forestair to secondary entrance at 1st floor. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate pitched roof; coped gables; polygonal stack to S gable; corniced double stacks in re-entrant angle to S and at gablehead to E; moulded octagonal cans.
INTERIORS: not seen 1990.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND PEDESTRIAN GATEWAYS: high coped rubble boundary and mutual walls; pedestrian gateways through slapping to Lauder Road and Dick Place.
