Description

Edward Calvert, 1884. 5-storey, 4-bay tenement with baronial details, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked sandstone with contrasting polished ashlar dressings. Base course; string course at 1st floor; corbel table at 4th floor stepped down to 2nd floor; stop-chamfered reveals. N ENTRANCE elevation: chamfered round-arched doorway with single window flanking to left in 2nd bay; deep-set panelled door; plate glass fanlight; bipartite windows above; shaped dormerhead at 4th floor. Bipartite windows in 3rd bay; crowstepped dormerhead klinked to wallhead stack. Full-height canted windows corbelled to square at gablehead in bays to outer left and right. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; coped wallhead stack; stone finials; corniced mutual stacks; scroll-bracketted skewputts to main gables.

INTERIORS: not seen 1991.

Boundary coping with replacement fencing to street.
