Description

Probably Thomas P Marwick, 1880. 5-storey, 4-bay tenement, symmetrical above ground, with baronial details, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked pink sandstone with contrasting polished ashlar dressings. Base course; string courses above 1st and 2nd floors; corbel table at 4th floor, stepped down to 3rd floor; round-arched doorways with rope hoodmoulds and label-stops; panelled doors; plate glass fanlights; chamfered reveals.

N ENTRANCE elevation: doorways in 2nd and 4th bays with single windows flanking to left and right respectively bipartite windows above; pedimented dormerheads to 4th floor single windows. Full-height canted windows corbelled to square at crowstepped gableheads in 1st and 3rd bays; cill and lintel courses; dividing cornices at 3rd floor; blank panels set in gableheads. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; corniced mutual stacks; stone finials; beak skewputts.

INTERIORS: not seen 1991.

Boundary coping with replacement fencing to street.
