Peddie and Kinnear, 1876. Classical 3-storey, 5-bay banking
mansion. Channelled and rendered ashlar ground
floor, polished ashlar 1st and 2nd floors; polished ashlar
dressings. Richly carved centre doorpiece with bracketted
pediment; right ground floor bay (E) forms pend
entrance and gives access to upper floors. Moulded
architraves to all windows, corniced and apron panelled at
1st floor, lugged at 2nd. Greek key frieze between ground and
1st floor; cill courses to 1st and 2nd floor windows.
Bracketted cornice; corniced gable chimneys; shallow
piended slate roof.
Dated and initialled P.K. 1876. Former Royal Bank of
Scotland.
