Description

A solid keep, standing on a rock slightly raised above the level of the road- Also called Lockart Tower, from the name of the former proprietor Lockart of Barr- The entrance doorway is on the first floor level and the circular staircase to the upper floors starts from the ingoing; windows have wide square recesses and are furnished with stone seats; externally much modernised and has lost its original character.
