James Miller, architect; circa 1904. Part of irregular
3-house terrace in Scots Renaissance style. 3 bays, 3 storeys
and attics; polished ashlar, stonecleaned.
Giant Ionic pilasters near angles through 1st and 2nd floors. Full-height canted bay to centre surmounted by cast-iron
balustrade with gable above. Roman Doric columns raised on
plinths act as portico/veranda and support wrought-iron
balustraded balcony to 1st floor, either side of canted
window. To left at ground, vestibule door tripartite with
arched glazed fanlight. All windows in wide architraves,
stepped up and down at corners; mullioned and transomed.
Ionic pilasters, mullions at 1st and 2nd floors of bay
window. Sash windows, small-pane glazing. Continuous mutule
cornice. Above bay window, gable with scrolls and
depressed-arch architraved attic windows. Gable flanked by
box dormers. Tall coped stacks with rounded angles.
Rendered flank to E, coursed stugged ashlar rear.
