James Walker, engineer; 1851-1854. 5-arch road bridge
over River Clyde built on the site of the old Stockwell
Bridge. Sandstone core faced in Dublin grey granite.
Segmental arch spans measure 60ft, 76ft and 80ft
increasing towards the centre. Ashlar throughout,
banded with bold voussoirs, v-cutwaters rising to piers
at parapet. Ashlar balustrade with die pedestals.
A group with Union Railway, Albert, Suspension, King George
V and Jamaica Bridges.
