John McKissack and Son, architects, 1899-1902. Edwardian Free style warehouse for the City Improvements Trust. 5-storey and attic, 14-bay divided 2-1 (canted)-8-1(canted)-2. Red sandstone ashlar. Shops to ground.
All windows architraved, pedimented to 1st corniced to 3rd, round arched with archivolt to 4th; outer bays with canted oriels to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 4th floor windows round-arched with bold keystones. Mixed single and tripartite windows, all sash and case with 2-pane lower, 12-pane upper sashes. Cill bands to each floor, main cornice, deep plain parapet, shaped gables across canted and flanking bays with bipartite windows and strapwork windowheads.
Cast-iron columns support interior.
6-bay plainer detailed return elevation to 62 Parnie Street with glass roofed gallery to attic.
B Group with 103 Trongate. Converted to artists studios, galleries, etc 2009.
